Customer Rating: Summary: Meh Comment: cant use it if your Pc crashs and you didnt register at there site programs garbage just buy sony vegas
Customer Rating: Summary: Do NOT buy this product! Comment: I bought this product from Corel, because I have a newborn, and I had gotten a video camera to record his growing up. My father has used Corel Products in the past (CorelDraw, Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo), so we trusted Corel.
This product is a piece of junk!!! It is almost impossible to figure out the controls and menus, the software locks up every few minutes, and if you use the wizard, you have to add ALL the video clips before you can continue with the wizard!! That is impossible, because the software will LOCK UP before you get all the clips in there. My father worked for 3+ hours, trimming video clips to make a movie, and during loading of a clip, the software froze (for about the 4th or 5th time that day) and all the editing was LOST. Do NOT waste your money on this product - from what I can see, Corel bought the Ulead company that made the product, and just marketed it. When you go to support, yes, there are downloads, but no way to even send Corel an email about this TERRIBLE product. You have to sign up (and pay) for support.
In case you are thinking that we just didn't know how to use a video editor, my father is a Computer and Web professional, with a great deal of image editing experience. Even he couldn't make this product work. Shame on you, Corel!!!
Customer Rating: Summary: Wow! This is My Favorite Video Editing Software! Comment: Over the past 10 years, I've employed ten or more different software packages for video editing, including products by Adobe, Roxio, CyberLink, Nero, et al. Each and every video product crashed at one time or another. Every product but VideoStudio Pro.
I've used Corel VideoStudio Pro X2 for the past year, and this software has become my favorite. Very stable and user friendly, with decent options and features.
The "Enhanced! Smart Proxy editing" is most novel and useful feature. Using a midrange 4 year-old computer, I'm editing HD -1080p content with zero problems and FANTASTIC full HD resolution results.
If my copy of Corel VideoStudio were destroyed, would I buy it again? ABSOLUTELY! 5-stars!
Customer Rating: Summary: Pretty good software, but... Comment: I edited my first digital video project with the original version of iMovie a number of years ago. That really spoiled me. It was intuitive and not overly complicated. I put together a really nice video clip that looked pretty darn professional. Since then I have tried about 6 PC video editing software packages including Studio 9 and 10 and a couple smaller packages. This one comes closest to that "perfect" software. Fairly intuitive, it was easy to figure out how to do most things, but not all, and the book that came with it was useless in helping me figure out how to edit sound clips. After about an hour or two I finally managed to open the sound editing feature, but later I had to stumble about trying to find it again. In general, this is the best PC based video software I've had the pleasure to use. Maybe you'll have less trouble figuring out the subtleties than I did.
Customer Rating: Summary: I don't get it.... Comment: Over the last few weeks I have read a variety of reviews on a variety of products. Are y'all looking at the same product? How is it that one reader gives 5 stars and the very next gives one star. This is an issue in many many reviews. I'm giving this one a 3 and I haven't even used it so don't pay attention to this one. Seems like the majority of people out there are really quite psychotic when it comes to reviews. Do those that give a single star request a refund or replacement? Just not clear.
