Does your entertainment system have wooden doors, or would you like to mount your components in a closet? Without a clear line of sight infrared (IR) signals from a remote control will not reach the equipment. We have the answer. Our remote control repeater kit contains all equipment necessary to remotely operate 4 components (expandable to 12 components) using your standard remotes. Mount the IR receiver in a central location and connect to the IR distribution block. This block repeats the signals through emitters to your electronic components. Your components may now be mounted in your entertainment center, closet or another room! The kit is self-contained and easy to connect. With this kit, you may mount a receiver in a convenient place on or near your entertainment system. The receiver has a 9 foot cable that is then attached to the repeater system that is mounted in your entertainment cabinet. The kit includes 4 emitters. These emitters are connected from the repeater system and placed over the IR receiver of the equipment. The IR receiver and IR repeater have blinking blue LEDs to confirm receipt of the IR signal; the IR repeater is designed for mounting on shelf or wall. Summary: Simple to use works great
Comment: I have both the Hot Link and now this one. I like this one better. The hot link does have 6 connectors-but the connect wire is easy tear ribbon cable (flimsy) and the master IR Receiver cable is stiff and hard to place on the hot link. This has a master IR rectangle which looks neater. Both though do the job.

Comment: I looked at several of these types of devices and I finally decided on this one. It took me minutes to plug in and get it working. I tried taping the sensor to the inside cabinet but that did not work, I am guessing the angle to the box just isn't there. I then taped the sensor to the cable box and it worked great. Currently I don't have my DVD or stero recivers connected so I did not test those with this device which is the ONLY reason I put 3 stars for the compatibility with devices. I currently have a 60 inch Sony Plasma and the sensor reciever is right next to the TV. I don't have an issue with this even though there is a warning about the Plasma TV's and the sensor. I hope eveyone has the same expierence I have had.

Summary: Works Perfectly - Exactly What I Needed
Comment: The item worked perfectly right out of the box. It took a few minutes for me to "fish" the wire through a wall into a closet, but once I did that, it took no more then two minutes to connect everything. And it worked! Immediately! Without a problem!
Also, since I was going to be using this with a Scientific Atlanta cable box, right after ordering the product, I emailed cables to go to let them know about the Scientific Atlanta cable box. They immediately shipped out the compatible receiver. In fact, the replacement receiver came to my house before the actual product.
I highly recommend this product. Price, ease of installation, and most importantly, it works!

Comment: The Cables To Go IR Repeater Kit is awesome. Great price and great performance. I wish that I would have gotten this before now because it is so nice to be able to close my AV Cabinet especially now that we have a baby crawling around trying to pull everything out of the cabinets.

Summary: Perfect functionality; installation modularity lacking
Comment: This product works beautifully; the ir receiver is very sensitive , mine is facing nearly backwards mounted on the top of my tv, and it picks up every transmitted signal without a hitch. However, this mounting snafu brings me to the missing star. The receiver module has only one mounting option, which is: adhesive on the bottom, receiver on top, cord out of the side. So to mount it onto my tv, an lg 32le5300LG 32LE5300 32-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED LCD HDTV, Silver Grey, the cable is visible coming out the side, the ir receiver is facing up and slightly back toward the wall, and the adhesive came unstuck after about an hour, even though i took the added precaution of scrubbing the mounting surface with alcohol, and holding the module in place for about 30 seconds. So if the receiver came with a stronger, removable adhesive strip, and a cable that you could move to different points on the block, I would definitely give it five stars.
