Prepare for full 1080p HDTV. The 40" BRAVIA S Series KDL-40S4100 is an amazing value, and comes fully-loaded with 24p compatibility for smooth playback of filmed content. It also features a wide variety of HD inputs (3 HDMI, 2 component inputs, and a PC input) so you can connect it to a PlayStation 3, Blu-ray Disc player, and up to four more HD-enabled devices. Now you can watch all your favorite movies, sports, and games with the pristine picture and vibrant sound that you expect from a Sony at an unbelievable value.Movies and many prime time TV programs are captured at 24 frames per second (24p). Sony's Blu-ray Disc players wisely take advantage of this by including 24p output capability allowing a compatible connection with BRAVIA HDTVs that have this capability. The benefit - you can watch movies in natural, cinematic motion, the way they are seen at the cinema. Every single frame of the movie can now be seen without using additional video processing that converts film-based images to video reproduction.

Customer Rating: Summary: Fantastic HD TV Comment: Bought this TV at Target for $900.00 and it came with a &100.00 gift card. Had to take the first one back because the screen was cracked. Target replaced it with no questions asked. Installed the TV over my fireplace and wow. Didn't have to adjust anything. Crisp, clean and sharp views; especially on sports. You can see the blades of grass on High Def. I would recommend this TV to anyone. The only complaint that I have is that the TV is not packaged to protect the screen. Check it out before you take it home.
Sony rules.
Customer Rating: Summary: Sony TV Comment: The TV came on time and was easy to set up. I have been pleased with it.
Customer Rating: Summary: 40"in Sony Bravia 1080 Comment: It is just great! We are totally enjoying moving into the 21st century. Some channels are fuzzy, but we are still on local cable and I think when we change to satellite in the new year, it will be better. Not to give anyone the wrong impression, it's the reruns that are snowy.
Customer Rating: Summary: Black and white movies display with a green shimmer Comment: A person's patterned clothing (small checks, small stripes)often has a green shimmer. Otherwise it works well.
Customer Rating: Summary: YES!! Comment: I just got this beast yesterday and now I'm in love:) I had a 32" Panasonic before that, but I wasn't impressed with the size. With my Sony, I'm now impressed with the size. It's great, cause I have a hobbit like den for my living room, so the viewer becomes totally immersed in the screen.
My only slight gripe is the color. With the Pansonic, the colors were so vibrant. I notice the Sony is a little more subdued (but then again, I notice all other TVs are the same way). But maybe thats because the Panasonic was pushing unrealistic colors (it was like a freaking video game!). At any rate, I'm used to the Sony's colors now.
One question. On the TV, there is a noise adjustment selection. What does that mean? I have a camera, and understand what noise is for that. Is it the same thing for the TV? If I adjust TV for low noise, what do I get? Less noise? What's the trade off? Why would anybody even want noise?
Thanks for any advice, and buy this TV!! It rocks!
