Summary: Great TV and Great Delivery
Comment: I watched this plasma for 3 months as the price came down and finally pulled the trigger in time for Christmas delivery. I purposely waited until it was offered through Amazon to get the white glove delivery (the set weighs 200 lbs in the box). Since it was my first major purchase I elected to use the 1-888 number and talk to a real person at Amazon. She was helpful and was able to identify the delivery company that would be bringing the set (CEVA)and said it would likely show up on the 23rd or 24th. A couple days later and after about 15 min. of internet homework I located the CEVA distribution center, got a phone number, called them and confirmed that the set was sitting on the dock. Their local delivery chief even called me back personnally and we coordinated a delivery on the 23rd. They showed up within 5 minutes of when they said they would arrive. In 15 minutes they had it unpacked, brought in, placed in my entertainment center, hooked up and turned on. (Prior to that I had gone on Samsung's website and downloaded the user manual. It showed me that all connections except power were in the lower right hand quadrant of the set. So I was able to have all the HDMI, opticals, etc. premarked and prestrung before they came.) They took all the packing materials and left me to enjoy a fantastic picture. With Dolby 7.1 it really rocks. What really surprised me most was how the high resolution supports sitting much closer to the screen than I would have thought possible (when its showing HD). Bottom line: Great System, Great Delivery, Great Price.

Summary: Great TV but No White Glove Service
Comment: The TV is great but there were no white glove service. I purchased the Samsung 63" plasma HDTV and was told I would be getting the white glove service. I had to beg the belivery person to bring it in the house. He wanted to lean it against the front door, have me to sign receipt, and leave. Delivery guy said I was lied to and I had to call an outside company to set up for me. However, I have no complaints about the TV.

Summary: Buying Samsung PN63A650 from Amazon
Comment: I am very pleased with buying the Samsung PN63A650 through Amazon. I ordered it on Black Friday and received it the following Friday. It was shipped using CEVA Logistics. They delivered it early, took it out of the box, and we checked the picture and everything worked perfectly. By going through Amazon, I saved almost $1000 compared to Best Buy and Fry Electronics. Shipping was free and didn't have to pay any sales tax. The TV set is great. The picture is awesome. However, remember to buy the HDMI cable as it makes a big difference in the picture quality compared to the cable provided by the local cable company. The only negative is that if I waited a week, I could have gotten it for $100 less!

Summary: Better than expected
Comment: I am used to be fan of Sony TV but not any more. The big sreen is nice, the picture is better than I expected without the HDMI hook up (I used the components). The sound is great for me. The white glove service is great. Fast delivery to CT ,got it within a week. They called ahead to set up delivery time . They also brought it into the house hook up the power and make sure it work. The best thing is no tax and free shipping on top of online discount. Thank Amazon for a great big screen TV buying experience.

Summary: A Great TV
Comment: I am very happy with the Samsung PN63A650 63-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV with Red Touch of Color. It has all the features I want, and then some. The picture is sharp, clear, and with deep colors. Even with that, each input source can be fined tuned independently. The Red Touch Of Color styling is beautiful and less bulking as compared to other models. The menus overlay the TV picture such that you can still see what's showing on the screen. The info on digital TV channels is detailed, and even will provide the programming schedule. The built-in photo with music playing feature is nice, especially for slide shows. Mine is connected to my home theater system, so I don't use the built in speakers. However, the optical audio output works great and I can get full Dolby Digital 7.1 surround sound. It also has PC and network interfaces.
The only disappointment is the PIP is cumbersome to get to. Samsung should have provide buttons on the remote, but instead, you have to navigate through menus to use the feature. However, once there, you have several choices of how to configure the PIP. Other than that, I am very pleased with the TV.
