Summary: Needs Bass Boost. Works Ok For The HD Television.
Comment: I ordered this stereo through a catalog, and paid twice as much for it plus the inflated shipping charges. I was able to hook it up to my HD television thanks to the auxillary jack. My HD television boasts bass, treble, Dolby Surround Sound, so it wasn't too bad of an addition. I don't plan on using the cd player, or radio. I never owned a GPX before, and I've read other reviews on this model. This unit doesn't offer a whole lot in sound quality. The speakers lack bass. Volume is ok for the television. I listen to music on my computer. Sound quality is good there with the GE speaker system with sub woofer. I wanted to switch the two around, but the GE set up I have is made just for computers--Rats! This is a so so unit, and I wouldn't recommend it for serious music lovers. A person is better off spending a little bit more money for a better grade unit.

Comment: I bought this product for mothers day and it turned out better then i had hoped for. It's a unique shape. easily transferable, and plays very well. The price is perfect for this multi-use music player.

Comment: It looked good, sounded good, and was a good fit for my office - FOR JUST
THREE MONTHS!
After three months, it started skipping while playing CDs, first only rarely, then more frequently.
After four months it simply won't spin a CD. You can hear the motor working, but something is slipping and nothing works.
I bought this for an office where, for security reasons, I cannot bring in an MP3 player or other recordable media, and we have no radio reception. It's a good place to use my large collection of CDs, but not if the machine doesn't work.

Summary: Great price, great features, we love it!
Comment: We thought the price was to good to be true for this little bookshelf unit, but once we started using it we were amazed at how much it could do. This is perfect for our bedroom and now an essential part of our morning and evening routines. We wake to great sound and we use the remote at night to go to sleep listening to music. The digital clock is a great feature, and we can use the remote to find out about snow days without having to get out of bed. This system is not powerful enough to use for parties or family listening in a big room, it is great for smaller spaces and individual use.
