The speakers are great. Clear sound at every range I am likely to try, and they work beautifully for home DVD watching, which is what I bought them for. They are nicely sized and easy to hang. I highly recommend them for the speaker value.
The subwoofer was a disappointment. It doesn't even look like it came from the same set. It is black instead of silver and had connections for only four speakers. I ended up combining the center with the left front. Customer Rating: Summary: Polk Speakers are pretty good buy Comment: Have installed my Polk RM6750 speakers along with Onkyo SR606 and am pleased so far. I haven't really cranked them up yet, but the sub rattles the windows in my den, even at low volume. So far, no complaints, sound is very good. I have the rear surrounds mounted in the corners, ran the wire under crown moulding. Tried a basic speaker bracket from Target, but they stuck out too far, so went with a long screw right in the corner that is working just fine. This is the perfect set for my Sony STR-DG920 Receiver and BDPS-550 Blu-Ray Disc Player. I just finished setting them up and watched The Dark Knight. I will be ordering 2 more for true HD 7.1 capabilities in the very near future! If your receiver has a setup option capability, try option #2 - which allows the LFE Low Frequency Effects to be controlled by the receiver's low pass LFE channel with crossover adjustment at 120 hz.
