Customer Rating: Summary: Great! Comment: This works great. It doesn't re-do the signal, but just repeats it. It should work with just about anything.
Customer Rating: Summary: It's Great - IF Components are completely enclosed Comment: This kit will work great when the components are completely out of sight. But, it might not work too well IF the components still can "see" the actual remote. There can be a conflict between "direct" IR signals and "repeated" IR signals. Though the manufacturer emphasizes application in a completely enclosed cabinet, they don't caution about such "mixed mode" applications.
Customer Rating: Summary: Works Great Comment: Got this so I could hide a Verizon FIOS Motorola HD DVR and a DVD player in a cabinet. Setup could not have been easier and works great. Very pleased with this so far.
Customer Rating: Summary: Works Great With U-Verse!! Comment: My husband, a totally non-techie person, installed this with ease (a Zero Curse project) and it works flawlessly. We'd heard and read about the difficulty of integrating U-Verse into a home theater system and hiding it all in a cabinet, and had already tried and NOT succeeded with the U-Verse RF remote control. I called the CablesToGo company before purchasing and a real person answered the phone and right then had a conversation with me about the product - no time on hold, no waiting, no forwarding, no voice mail hell (completely the opposite of AT&T U-Verse support - What a pleasure!). Now we have the U-Verse DVR/receiver, a Pioneer A/V unit, and a Sony DVD unit all out of sight behind closed doors and playing nicely together and with a Toshiba HDTV.
Note about the U-Verse -- position the communicator right over the IR on the U-Verse, which apparently is between the Power button and the Line indicator light, at least on our unit.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great repeated for the price Comment: Just thought that I would give a little back to the Amazon community. This is a great product for relatively little money. It was so easy to set up and it works flawlessy! I am using it with a Sony receiver (ht2000 I think), and my comcast cable box. I really recommend this product. My only gripe is that it only comes with two cables for the components; it has the ability to control six just as the company claims, but only comes with the two cables.
